Here’s a little update of what’s going on at the farm.
Every mango tree at the farm has or is currently flowering and starting to set fruit, except two of the same variety. Hopefully, they are just late! The lychee trees are looking pretty good as well, and the bees have started doing their thing.

We didn’t have any long cold nights this year.
These were the coldest days we experienced;
12-24-22 we saw 34 degrees F at 7:42 am
12-25-22 we saw 33.3 degrees F at 7:00 am
1-15-23 we saw 38.8 degrees F at 6:25 am
2-13-23 we saw 49.3 degrees F at 7:15 am
The these temperatures didn’t last for more than an hour if that. And since there was always a slight wind, frost didn’t develop.
Remember, if the cold doesn’t kill your trees, the frost can!

So, the flowers didn’t fall off and die like last year. Now we just wait to see how much fruit gets set. We’re not out of the woods because it’s not just the cold, we also have violent thunderstorms that come by as the fruit is developing.

Other than that, we “should” have a good year.

I’m trying to keep this as short as possible and I’ll just say a few words for our new members.

1. Our only form of payment is cash.
2. We don’t have a restroom at the farm.
3. We don’t offer “you pick” opportunities.
4. Please ask us about taking photos.
5. We open at 10:00 am on Saturdays, and 11:00 am on Sundays if we still have fruit from Saturday.
6. We try to be open at least one week day, usually Wednesdays.
7. Lychee season is usually the second week of June, mango follows in July, with longan in August. Wax Jambu has a mind of it’s own.
